Pastors & Leadership
Shepherds,
not
executives.
The pastors and deacons at Faith Baptist are not here to manage an organization. They are here to shepherd people — through prayer, through the Word, through personal care, and through the long and patient work of helping a congregation grow in Christ. We do not think of leadership as a corporate structure. We think of it as a calling under the Chief Shepherd.
Pastors
Shepherding
through Word
and prayer.
We are grateful to serve this church and we want every visitor to know that Faith Baptist is a place where the Word of God is taken seriously and people are cared for personally.
Teaching Pastor
Eric
Noorthoek
Pastor Eric serves through preaching, teaching, shepherding, and helping keep the ministry of the church centered on the Word of God and the glory of Christ. His aim week after week is to open Scripture clearly, apply it faithfully, and care for the flock entrusted to him.
Family Pastor
Dan
Castaneda
Pastor Dan assists in teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care, helping the church pursue faithful ministry across generations. He holds a master's degree and serves as the head of Faith Baptist's Biblical Counseling ministry — bringing careful attention to the Word, a shepherd's heart for hurting people, and the conviction that Scripture is sufficient for the soul's deepest needs.
Church Governance
An elder-led
church.
Faith Baptist is governed by a plurality of elders — men who are called, qualified by Scripture, and accountable to one another and to the congregation. We believe this is the pattern the New Testament gives the church, and we take it seriously.
We are also a church that is constantly looking to raise up the next generation of elders — men of character, conviction, and proven faithfulness who will shepherd this congregation long into the future. Developing biblical leadership from within the body is not an afterthought here. It is a priority.
How the Church Is Shepherded
Personal. Biblical.
Accountable.
Through the Word
The pastors lead by preaching and teaching the Scriptures so that the church hears God's Word clearly and lives under its authority — not under the opinions of men.
Through Prayer
Shepherding means carrying people before the Lord — not merely scheduling and administrating. We want leadership to be marked first by intercession, then by action.
Through Care
We seek to know the people of this church personally — to encourage them in difficulty, walk alongside them in trial, and help them grow in faithful Christian living over time.
Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.
